Elnebishy
Eslam Elnebishy
Eslam is a choreographer, dancer, and teacher. Moving between
Frankfurt
and Cairo — between the physical and the political.
For him, the political is not only a subject brought to stage - it is how
stage
itself works.
He engages with personal experience through choreography and dance, but finds
the abstract form that holds it, and the body that carries more than it shows.
His practice questions representation — what is shown versus what is, and the distance between the two.
His work moves within a world where certain bodies, certain histories, and
ways
of knowing have been decided for — and sits with the question of how that
violence can
be seen, felt, and undone.
