Teaching
Eslam's teaching is rooted in improvisation and movement research — creating spaces where participants can develop a deeper relationship to their own bodies, and discover movement through their own specificity.
A central part of the practice is making choices. Rather than reproducing fixed forms, the work invites participants to question and unlearn established ways of doing through the body, and to find their own physical logic. Technique is approached as a tool — flexible, transformable, and always tuned to the needs and interests of the individual and the group.
Relation is at the core of it — between bodies, between a body and its environment, between the individual and the collective. Even in solo practice, the body is always in relation to something. The practice shifts according to who is in the room, and what they bring with them.
He teaches across professional dance training, universities, festivals, and open workshops, working with groups ranging from amateurs to professional performers and interdisciplinary artists.
Eslam is available for workshops, residencies, guest teaching, and research laboratories internationally.
