INTO IT - 2025

Performing Group / Marie-Lena Kaiser

Four dancers move between the stage and an audience arranged all around them. They explore the space, share thoughts, and respond to impulses. A dynamic interplay of proximity and distance unfolds, developing into a choreography inspired by everything that defines closeness: friction, resistance, connection, and misunderstanding.

A lively exchange emerges, shifting—but not dissolving—the boundary between audience and performers. In the end, a shared moment takes shape, inviting everyone to join in and move together.

INTO IT reveals dance as an open, evolving process and creates opportunities for genuine encounters. At a time when social closeness can feel uncertain, the piece invites audiences to approach it in new ways.

“I saw friendship in it. Sometimes you want to spend a lot of time with your friend and always be with them. But sometimes you don’t. Then you want more distance and more time for yourself.”
