Yet to Come - 2026/27

Yet to Come is a solo performance exploring grief, voice, and political loss as embodied experiences. The work is currently in creation, developing toward its premiere at Künstler*innenhaus Mousonturm in February 2027.

Drawing on his participation in the 2011 Egyptian revolution, Eslam Elnebishy traces how political defeat lingers in the body, and asks what remains when collective hope collapses. The work reflects on unfulfilled promises of change and their resonance within today's global rise of authoritarian politics, approaching these histories through the experience of a migrant subject navigating their aftermath.

The piece develops through the separation and recombination of body and voice, asking how grief can become not only a weight to carry, but a generative and transformative force.
